I'm Looking For The Love



I get it, so much knowledge has increased, we have babies using cell phones which are computers better than grown folks.
That's all fine and good.  I love to learn.
I've recently come across a few groups where it's supposed to be a safe place, to express ideas, yeah okay, whatever.
I was learning so much, stuff I'd never considered ever before.  Things about the bible I'd never heard anyone say.
I was totally wowed by these people.
Guess what?
I shouldn't have been and who cares that much in the first place?
How much free time do you have?
I'm in love with Jesus.
I'm chasing after Jesus.
I belong to Him.
Nothing else matters!
I'm looking for the love.
So, when you start talking down to me, ripping me to shreds and completely destroying the op because you know so much more.
I embrace the beauty of it all, I know love wins.
You can't teach me if you aren't showing me love.
I'm looking for the love.
I get it I've been taught wrong.
That's nice and all but where's your love?
A young woman came along and encouraged me and showed me love.
That's what I was looking for!
I'm looking for the love, I want to give it all away.
She was beauty for my ashes.

When I leave Alabama, I will not have a job and I never plan to get another. I'm putting my husband in the rightful position he should have had all along, protector and provider. I'm not above waiting tables two or three times a week, because I enjoy it and it's a vehicle for connections, but it's not a priority. What's Different?

What's different you may ask. I'm different, he's different, this time is different. There's so many re-runs that happen when dealing with addiction, people we love who are addicted and our own issues during the process, we sometimes get caught in the loop of the happenings. We have a lot of water under the bridge, when I say a lot of water, I mean seventeen years of water. A lot has happened, hurt, disappointment, panic, anxiety, you name it its happened. This time is different. Why? We are making it different. This time is a new time, something new is happening and we are treating it that way. This time we've both made a decision together as to what helps us progress forward together.  It's not me or him, it's us together. Will the same things happen? I don't know. That One Call Changes Everything

Man oh man this love thing is something serious! A picture is worth a thousand words right?  This picture has reeled me in time and time again. Anyone who knows me knows the story of Antoine and me.  We've been together and apart for seventeen years.  We met in the streets, both of us addicted to crack. Seventeen years of prison sentences, jail time, street time and then there's the precious good times, few and far between.  We've had a couple of Thanksgiving's together, a couple of birthdays together and two or three Christmas's.  We've had one anniversary together that I can remember.  Seventeen years.
